One Response to Aging Parents

  1. James Gude says:

I enjoyed listening to this episode, as my mother will celebrate her 85th birthday this September. Most of my parents siblings, relatives, etc have lived into their 70′s and 80′s. I also have frequently visited relatives, including my mother, in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, so I have had a chance to observe people as they have aged.
I have come to the belief that life is all about settling. By this I mean that if you can settle for less in life (altering your exercise habits, your eating habits, your mobility, and your relationships with others) accept these changes, your likelihood of living longer will increase.
I enjoy listening to your program on KIWA out of Sheldon, Iowa.
